The NCBG is a not-for-profit 501(c)6 tax exempt organization comprised of brewers, vendors, retailers, and craft beer enthusiasts focused on promoting North Carolina beer. North Carolina boasts the largest number of craft breweries in the American South, with more than 20 brewpubs and 20 packaging breweries.

It is the craft beer state of the South.

The NCBG was formed following the ‘Pop the Cap‘ initiative which did away with the 6% alcohol cap on beers in NC. Its main objective is to promote NC beer — local, fresh, craft beer. We want to support the beer communities in the state and guide the craft beer aficionados by providing the one source that allows access to the breweries, brewers and their beers where ever they are served, presented, celebrated.

North Carolina Breweries are located across the state, from the Mountains, to the Piedmont, to the Triangle, to the Coast. For a list of all the breweries in the state listed by town/city, visit the NC Craft Breweries page. Each member brewery has their own profile with information about where they’re located, their hours, tour information, and links to social media sites.

The NC Beer Calendar is a key resource for everyone as it allows to gather everything in the state that has to do with beer, when and where it happens.

Anyone can become a member of the North Carolina Brewers Guild, not just breweries. Craft beer enthusiasts can sign up online, retailers, vendors, or other craft beer industry members can send an e-mail to admin@ncbeer.org for more information.
