The NC Public House will showcase dozens of breweries, wineries, cideries, and craft soda makers from across North Carolina. Daily offerings will include several different styles of craft beer, wine, cider, and soda, including award-winning examples of each.
Due to overwhelming support of the NC Public House, we have a NEW LOCATION in 2021! The NC Public House will move to the South Lobby of Dorton Arena, located across from the most heavily-trafficked entrance to the Fair and opposite the largest ferris wheel on the fairgrounds. Over one million visitors attend the NC State Fair each year. Due to the new Dorton Arena location, we anticipate our visitor traffic will more than double for 2021, reaching a projected attendance of 45,000+ people over 11 days. The NC Public House is an extraordinary marketing opportunity to introduce your product to a new and diverse audience.

Brewery members of the NC Craft Brewers Guild
NC independent wineries and cideries
NC craft soda producers
The North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to advancing the NC craft beer industry. The NC Public House is our largest fundraising event of the year - help us make this an annual success!
BREWERY PRODUCT DONATION LEVELS:
Pint Sponsor: 6 sixtels or 2 half-barrels (one brand)
Crowler Sponsor: 12 sixtels or 4 half-barrels (one or two brands)
Barrel Sponsor: 18 sixtels or 6 half-barrels (one or two brands)
Foeder Sponsor: 24 sixtels or 8 half-barrels (one or two brands)
WINERY & MEADERY PRODUCT DONATION LEVELS:
Decanter Sponsor: 4 cases (one brand)
Carafe Sponsor: 8 cases (one or two brands)
Porron Sponsor: 12 cases (one or two brands)
CIDERY & SELTZERY PRODUCT DONATION LEVELS:
Mug Sponsor: 3 sixtels or 1 half-barrel or equivalent cases (one brand)
Growler Sponsor: 6 sixtels or 2 half-barrels or equivalent cases (one brand)
Barrel Sponsor: 9 sixtels or 3 half-barrels or equivalent cases (one or two brands)
Strict ABV limit: No beer can be accepted above 7.0% ABV (per State Fair requirement.)
All product provided must be approved by the NC ABC.
The Public House serves as an introduction to craft beer for many of the 45,000+ guests. Approachable styles tend to pour best.

Dates: The NC Public House will run Thursday, October 14th - Sunday, October 24th
Opening Thursday: Noon - 10pm
Fridays & Saturdays: Noon - 11pm
Sunday - Thursday: Noon - 10pm
Paid staffing and volunteers will be managed by the Guild. All paid staff will be ServSafe certified and educated by Guild staff on the basics of beer styles, while the NC Fine Wine Society will assist with wine education.
Crafty Beer Guys will provide draft set-up and line cleaning throughout the fair.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
NC Public House brewery registration is only open to NCCBG members in good standing. Questions about your membership? Contact Lisa Parker.
All donated product must have NC ABC approval.
All donated product must have an ABV below 7% per State Fair requirements.
We reserve the right to return any product that is damaged or unsalable.
If we receive more registrants than space available, participants will be selected at random via a lottery system.
Under the provisions of the Special One-Time permit unused + unopened product may be returned. The NCCBG reserves the right to return any unopened product at the end of the Fair.
Empty kegs need to be picked up on Monday October 25th & Tuesday October 26th from the Fairgrounds, as we will not have secured storage after these dates.
MARKETING & PROMOTION:
We anticipate daily traffic may be as high as 6,000 people/day at the Public House. The NC Public House will be promoted via a variety of partners, resulting in broad state-wide outreach. Examples include:
Banners at multiple gates throughout the Fair
Regular PA announcements during the Fair
Inclusion in the 2021 Daily Schedule, with map listing
Promotion via Untappd
Social media promotion via NCCBG, NC State Fair, NC Wine, and participating breweries and wineries (participants will receive turn-key media kits.)
PR campaign to statewide media outlets (print, TV, radio, online and podcasts)
