Join as an Allied Retail Partner and help us advance the interests of our state's craft brewing industry, and support North Carolina as a leader among the top craft beer states in the nation.

This complimentary program is designed to provide craft beer retailers opportunities to partner with the Guild in exchange for onsite retail promotion of NC Beer initiatives. Examples of retail partners include: grocery stores, restaurants, bottle shops, & home brew supply stores.

The NC Craft Brewers Guild (NCCBG) is the non-profit trade association for North Carolina’s independent craft brewing industry.  Founded in 2008 by a small group of NC brewers, the Guild today serves as the primary advocate for breweries statewide. The NCCBG protects the industry with regulatory advocacy and legislative lobbying;  promotes North Carolina as the State of Southern Beer;  and prepares our brewery workforce with professional education.

    The annual Label Insanity Competition celebrates the creativity and innovation that North Carolina breweries demonstrate through their packaging labels. This competition combines the skilled review of industry professional judges, combined with a people’s choice component on social media.

  • Hop Into Spring: April
    Hop Into Spring is a consumer-focused beer month celebrating spring beer releases and events taking place at breweries, restaurants, retailers, and communities across North Carolina. Help bring awareness to the Hop Into Spring promotional platform designed to elevate the beers and events of spring.

    • Promotional assets (digital) provided by the NCCBG.

    • Your Hop Into Spring special events may be submitted for inclusion in the Hop Into Spring consumer events calendar.

    • Promotion of special events on #NCBeer social media (subject to NCCBG approval)

  • NC Brewers Cup Competition: August
    The annual NC Brewers Cup Competition is the largest state-wide commercial beer competition in the Southeast.  With medals awarded in 36 style-based beer categories, including the "NC Homegrown" category,  certified beer judges from across the Southeast traveled to the competition to select the top examples (gold, silver, bronze) of each beer style category.

  • NC Beer Month: October
    NC Beer Month is a consumer-focused promotional month designed to encourage North Carolinians and tourists alike to explore the independent craft breweries of our state and savor a pint of finely crafted local beer. This multifaceted month of consumer-facing initiatives, brings statewide attention to NC’s craft beer industry, and includes:  the Governor’s Proclamation, #NCBeer Digital Passport on Untappd, NC Beer Month “Beercation” Sweepstakes, and the NC Public House at the North Carolina State Fair

    • Promotional assets (digital) provided by the NCCBG.

    • Your NC Beer Month special events may be submitted for inclusion in the NC Beer Month consumer events calendar.

    • Promotion of special events on #NCBeer social media (subject to NCCBG approval)
